The QSS Users Group Finance/Personnel Committee invites you to join QSS in an on-line seminar covering the new QSS ControlCenter (QCC) Employee Maintenance module.  This is the second of two “webinars” QSS is presenting to introduce you to the latest features incorporated into the graphical user interface (GUI) version of QSS/OASIS Employee Maintenance.  The first webinar, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 7th, will introduce participants to various features that are available throughout all the Employee Maintenance sub-modules, and then will focus specifically on the Demographic (MA) dataform.  The invitation for that webinar was distributed via e-mail on March 14th.  The second webinar, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16th, will build on the information presented during the first webinar, providing a tour of the other sub-modules available within QCC Employee Maintenance. See the invitation below for specific topics that will be included in the April 16th webinar. 

 

The QSS presenter will assume that participants in the second webinar have already attended the QSS Introduction to QSS ControlCenter webinar presented on January 30th, or have a similar level of familiarity with QCC (in other words, this will not be an introductory session as far as general knowledge of QCC is concerned).  Similarly, the QSS presenter will assume that participants in the second QCC Employee Maintenance webinar have already viewed the April 7th webinar, thus the material from the first webinar will not be repeated in the second.

 

Thanks to the sponsorship of the Finance/Personnel Committee, there is no charge for this webinar for staff from organizations that are current paid members of the Committee.  (If in doubt, check with your technology support staff to see if your organization is a current member.)  Staff from non-member organizations must submit a $100 check (no purchase orders accepted) to QSS, 2121 S. El Camino Real, Suite D200, San Mateo, CA 94403-1819 along with the name of their organization, the name of the person who will be registering for the webinar, and the date of the webinar, in order for their webinar registration to be valid.

 

In order to reduce the administrative overhead (and expense) associated with the webinar registration process, the Finance/Personnel Committee has arranged slightly different registration procedures for this webinar from those that were used for their first three webinars:

  1. QSS will provide the link to the on-line webinar registration web site in an invitation e-mailed to all QSS customers (see below for this link for the April 16th webinar).
  2. The webinar registration web site will be configured to automatically accept all registration requests, immediately sending confirmation messages to each person completing the registration form.  (Be sure your firewall and spam-checking software allow you to receive the return messages from CitrixOnline.com or GoToMeeting.com.)  There will be no monitoring by QSS of valid e-mail addresses or current Committee membership.
  3. Two business days prior to the webinar, QSS will submit to the Finance/Personnel Committee co-chairs a list of all webinar registrants and all non-member tuition checks received.  The co-chairs will then give QSS a list of webinar registrations to be canceled, if any, because the requirements for participation were not met – cancellation of those registrations will cause an e-mail message to be sent from the Citrix web site to the registrant informing them that they will not be allowed to participate in the webinar.
  4. No registration requests for the webinar will be processed within two business days of the webinar date.

 

Please refer to the message below for more details, and for the link that will allow you to register for the April 16th webinar.  The Employee Maintenance #2 webinar will begin at 10:30 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 16th, 2008.  The registration cutoff date for this webinar is Monday, April 14thno registration requests for this webinar will be processed after 10:30 a.m. on April 14th.
