Re:       QSS policy on support for QCC releases

QSS began the distribution of QSS Control Center (QCC), the GUI version of QSS/OASIS, with the GS1 Release in January 2006.  QSS recently announced the availability of the GS18 Release of QCC.  The following statement describes QSS support for the various released versions of QCC:

QSS makes available to customers only the last two major releases of QCC.  For instance, only the files for the GS17 and GS18 releases are currently available on our QSS Migration Downloads web page (not for the GS16, GS15, etc.).  Customers using earlier versions of QCC are operating on unsupported versions, and should upgrade to a currently-supported version as soon as possible.  QSS applies all enhancements and error corrections only to the latest version of QCC.

For planning purposes, the GS19 Release of QCC is currently scheduled for general distribution on August 8, 2008.  Once the GS19 Release is available, QSS will stop supporting the GS17 Release (and all prior releases of QCC).  This progression will recur each time a new major release of QCC is made available.

Please follow your normal QSS support contact procedures if you have any questions about this policy, or you have questions about upgrading to the latest version of QCC.  Also, please share this memo with anyone else on your staff who also deals with QSS software support issues.  Thank you.
